Here is a little peak inside my crockpot today….
Last week I hit a great special at Homeland: 2 whole chickens for 5 bucks. Last week I made the first one and kept it pretty simple. I chopped an onion and put it in the bowl of my crockpot, put the chicken on top, and sprinkled with salt and pepper. I kept it on low for 8 hours and made several meals from the delicious (and moist!) meat.
Today, I am dialing it up a notch. Still with the onion, salt & pepper, but this time with garlic, lemon slices, and rosemary. Still very simple, but I anticipate some serious flavor this time around.
Who said healthy & delicious couldn’t be cheap??
