Everything Bagel
Greek Yogurt Chicken
Five ingredients, one pan, and under 30 minutes — this is one of those recipes that looks and tastes far more impressive than the effort involved. A tangy Greek yogurt and Parmesan coating locks in moisture while everything bagel seasoning forms a golden, flavor-packed crust. Juicy every single time.
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, butterflied
- 1 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tsp everything bagel seasoning
- — salt & black pepper, to taste
-
1
Preheat & prep
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking dish or sheet pan with foil and lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray. Butterfly the chicken breasts by slicing horizontally through the center, opening them like a book, so each breast is an even thickness throughout.

Mix the coating
In a bowl, stir together the Greek yogurt and grated Parmesan until well combined. Season with salt and pepper and mix again.
-
3
Coat the chicken
Place the butterflied chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Spread the yogurt-Parmesan mixture generously over the top of each piece, covering the entire surface in an even layer. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning evenly over the coating.

Bake
Bake uncovered at 375°F for 20–25 minutes until the coating is set and golden and the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F. For a deeper golden crust, switch to the broiler for the last 2–3 minutes — watch closely.

Rest & serve
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. The yogurt coating seals in the juices — you'll notice how tender and moist the chicken is compared to a regular baked breast. Serve with roasted vegetables, a green salad, or cauliflower rice.
- Why Greek yogurt? The lactic acid in Greek yogurt acts as a tenderizer while the coating creates a moisture seal during baking — the result is noticeably juicier chicken than a plain baked breast.
- Butterfly for even cooking: Butterflying the chicken ensures it cooks evenly all the way through without the thicker end being underdone. If you prefer, pound the chicken to an even thickness instead.
- Broiler finish: The last 2–3 minutes under the broiler gives the coating a beautiful golden color. Don't skip it if you want that extra crust.
- Seasoning swaps: Everything bagel seasoning is the star here, but Italian seasoning, lemon pepper, or za'atar all work great as alternatives for a different flavor profile.
- Meal prep: This chicken keeps well in the fridge for up to 4 days and is great sliced cold over salads, reheated with vegetables, or diced into a wrap.
