Our Weight Loss Surgery Program

WeightWise believes in a whole patient approach to weight loss surgery. Our comprehensive program includes behavioral health assessments, consults with registered dietitians and exercise physiologists, and support groups, both before and after surgery. We truly want you to lose weight, be healthy, and live a long and active life!

The Four Components

  • Patient Education

We prioritize providing important knowledge to our patients about how bariatric surgery works and what it takes to not only lose your weight but also keep it off after surgery. We expect each patient to become involved as an integral part of the weight loss team.

  • Medical Evaluation

Meeting with our providers allows the team to identify medical or psychological conditions that need to be treated prior to your operation. This also ensures maximum patient safety at the time of your surgery.

  • Minimally Invasive Surgery

Laparoscopic surgery provides the least post-operative pain and the fastest patient recovery using state-of-the-art surgical instrumentation and techniques.

  • Long-Term Follow-Up and Support

WeightWise offers vitamins, resources, and support groups to enable patients to achieve their goal weight and live a long and active life. We are with you every step of the way!

Patient Education

WeightWise provides important knowledge about how bariatric surgery works and what it takes to not only lose your weight but also keep it off after surgery. We teach each patient what they need to know to become involved as an integral part of the weight loss team.

Surgery provides your body with the tool needed for effective weight loss, but like any tool, how you use it will determine how much weight you will lose. At WeightWise, we are committed to equipping our patients with the knowledge and support they need, along with the tool of surgery to ensure the best outcomes possible.

Medical Evaluation

We know that losing weight can be so much more involved than just eating healthy and exercising. That's why our program includes a comprehensive medical evaluation. It is designed to learn more about you, physically and psychologically and find the root cause of the excess weight.

State-of-the-Art Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery

All of our procedures are performed laparoscopically, which means we use several small incisions instead of one large one. We inflate the abdomen with gas, and use a camera to look inside.

This method of surgery provides the least post-operative pain and the fastest patient recovery, allowing you to return to normal day-to-day activities that much faster. Although we’ll still want to monitor you for two nights, you should be able to return home, go grocery shopping, and even go back to work within a week.

Post Surgery, Long-Term Follow-Up, and Support

WeightWise requires a Post-Op package that includes dietitian and exercise visits, diet classes, and a resting metabolic rate test.

We also offer online support groups and our store is stocked with all of the vitamins and supplements you will need to take post surgery.

We are here to support our patients in every phase of their journey!
