Thanksgiving is a great time to appreciate all of the hard work you have put in to your weight loss progress. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving (and the rest of the holiday season) usually revolves around food. This can be problematic if you are working toward surgery or have already had surgery. We’re here to help you get through the holidays without experiencing weight gain. We have many Bariatric diet friendly holiday recipes available on our blog, and we’ve compiled a few of our favorites here to help you plan your menu.

Love these recipes! I made a keto low carb pumpkin cheesecake for thanksgiving this year as our treat. Here is the recipe. https://gimmedelicious.com/2018/11/15/keto-pumpkin-cheesecake/
Looks tasty! Just remember that Keto recipes are usually very high in fat, so they can stall your weight loss or lead to weight regain if you do them often. Having it just for Thanksgiving should be just fine!
I will be moving there from Missouri. I have Medicaid and Medicare. I only have 1 class to go and see the phychiatris again because of the time span expiring. Would I have to repeat the process when I move
Hi Kesha,
Usually patients are required to repeat the process when they are restarting the program. Recent labs, tests, etc. are important to make sure you are still healthy enough to undergo surgery. We would love to see you again in clinic. You can call at 405-359-2475 to schedule an appointment to restart the program.
Do you take Medicaid and Medicare?
Hi Kesha,
It is best to check with your insurance to see if they provide you with any Bariatric surgery benefits. You can also find more information at https://weightwise.com/financial-information/.
