Roasted Chicken Legs

Sometimes a full turkey is just too much. Using chicken legs or turkey legs in place of an entire bird is a great option for smaller families that don’t need such a large portion. Another benefit of using just the legs instead of the whole bird is that you don’t need to spend hours watching the oven and basting the turkey. This is a great way to make a smaller portion and save you time to spend with your family instead of in the kitchen!

Roasted Chicken Legs
A great alternative to a large turkey for a holiday meal. Less time cooking = more time with family and watching football!

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Pat legs down with a paper towel to absorb excess moisture and then place legs into a roasting pan.
  3. Mix rosemary, sage, garlic powder, and salt in small dish.

  4. Sprinkle or rub the seasoning mixture onto the legs liberally.

  5. Place legs in oven and bake for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a thermometer placed into the thickest part of the leg reads at least 165⁰F.
