Weight Loss Success Story Angela Baker
Describe your life before you had Weight Loss Surgery.
“At my highest weight, I wasn’t able to do much. I was tired all the time. I could sleep for 12-14 hours at a time. I didn’t want to do anything at all. I felt like I was in a cycle of making it home from work only to get ready for bed. Everything felt like a chore. I had high blood pressure, high A1C, anxiety, and if I’m honest low, low self esteem.”
How long were you considering Weight Loss Surgery before you came in?
“I really thought it was financially impossible for me to afford, I thought some day I’d be able to lose it by myself, I was terrified of having the surgery and gaining it all back to yet again be a failure. I had several friends have surgery and seeing their zest for life and the lack of complications that they had put me at ease. Once I started the process and had to do 2 week liquids I figured if I could do that I could do anything. After being with out sugar and carbs for so long I saw how much my body and mind craved nutrition.”
What was it like to work with our team?
“Everyone was friendly and helpful. I appreciated that many of those on the team had gone through the same thing and could give their own accounts on different situations.”
Describe your life now, after Weight Loss Surgery:
“I can buy clothes straight off the rack, and KNOW my size! I can sit comfortably in chairs, and cross my legs. I can wear shorts and tank tops. I can wear cute bras and panties! hahha! I LOVE working out bc the “pain” is a good workout pain instead of injury pain. I love YOGA now, and my body can do all kinds of things in yoga I never thought I’d be able to do. I can be silly and have fun with my teenager and not be afraid of embarrassing her or myself……unless I want to! hahhah!”
