A good marinade can make a recipe go from “good” to “BAZINGA”. Now, I’m not claiming that this is the end all, be all to steak marinades…but I will tell you it makes one heck of a difference in flavor! I use this steak marinade for fajitas, stir fry, grilled, baked, broiled, or any other version of steak you can think of.
If you are adventurous (or lazy and don’t want to go to the store like me), we are going to make a garlic paste. If you have not done this before, this is a good tutorial with pictures https://www.thekitchn.com/diy-garlic-paste-56087. If you are not adventurous nor lazy, buy some garlic paste from the store…it is easier. You will need about 2 tbsp of garlic paste.
In a large ziplock back, add soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic paste, fajita seasoning, dried mustard, salt and pepper. Mix these ingredients well by shaking bag.
Add steak to to bag and let marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
