Almost every family has a “traditional” Thanksgiving menu. And those traditions, if altered, can cause a lot of turmoil. I get it…food traditions are important. It is ingrained in almost every part of our culture. It can also be closely tied to our memories. But when you make changes to your lifestyle, you can inadvertently change traditions.

Changing old traditions or creating new traditions can be great. Think about what you love most about the holidays…

–  Is it really granny’s pumpkin pie you love? Or is it talking about the days she spent teaching you how to make a pie?

– Do you love Uncle Joe’s stuffing? Or is seeing his one-man rendition of The Night Before Christmas- for the twentieth time- the highlight of seeing him?

– Instead of sitting around watching the Thanksgiving parade with hot chocolate, grab some water and start the tradition of walking/running a Turkey Trot with your family.

In an effort to help these changes along, I have a Thanksgiving Menu all ready for you. Complete with turkey, veggies, casseroles, and dessert. Just follow each link for the recipes. You can also reference last year’s Thanksgiving Menu for more options!
