Happy Monday everyone! It is time for a new challenge!

This week I want to challenge us with our breath. I want you to take 10 minutes every day to work on our breathing! I know this may sound a little weird but have you ever had, depression, anxiety or fatigue? Yes, yes and yes! Of course we have! I realized a few years ago how just breathing can make any circumstance better. About 4 years ago I had a friend talk me into going to yoga. I thought I wouldn’t like it at all but turns out I fell in love with it and have been practicing ever since! I instantly felt so much better. Now, I know it’s not for everyone and not everyone can stand on their heads and have clarity in life but yoga starts with our breath. So let’s get started.

I want you to take 10 minutes out of your day to either sit or lay in silence and just practice breathing in through your nose and out through your nose or mouth. Sometimes just being still and sitting in silence is the hardest part. You may even count, inhaling for 4 and exhaling for 4. I always think I am breathing in the good and out the bad. I just read this article in the Yoga Journal about breathing through stress. I find that when we are stressed our world gets cloudy and we sometimes forget what is important and sometimes we just need to take a second and remember to breath and everything will work itself out! 🙂

So after your 30 minutes of your regular exercise and stretching take 10 minutes to just have some time to be still and think about all you have done today, breathing in the good and out the bad. I promise you’ll feel so much better! 🙂
