This quick and easy recipe is sure to please!
Tips to keep in mind:
- Remember, the more beans you use, the more starchy your dish. Use more ham than beans to keep your weight loss steady. I added as much ham as my crockpot would hold!
- For the ham…I bought a bone in ham and cut up the ham around the bone into chunks & removed as much fat as I could. Be sure to add the bone to the crockpot for added flavor. Remove before serving.
- To thicken the texture of your ham & beans (if desired), remove the crockpot lid once cooking is done, set on high for 30 min to 1 hour to allow some of the fluid to boil off.
