Protein Bars from WeightWise
The protein bars at WeightWise are designed for weight loss and the bariatric population. They are great for a meal replacement or an on-the-go heavy snack. Each bar ranges from 150 calories to 170 calories. In addition, each protein bar comes packed with between 10 grams and 15 grams of muscle-building protein.
When you order a box, it contains seven bars. And you won’t have to skimp on flavor. Protein bars come in a wide variety of flavors to brighten up just about everyone’s taste buds.
VLC Crisp Protein Bars from WeightWise
VLC stands for “very low carb.” These VLC Crisp Protein Bars are made to satisfy cravings while delivering on their low-carb promise. Each flavor is meant to be a great snack or a meal replacement without adding a lot of carbohydrates. And each protein bar in the VLC line has 15 grams of protein and between 5 and 10 net carbs. It’s sure to keep you satisfied. It comes in two tasty flavors.
The WeightWise Way
As our patients know and understand, bariatric surgery is just the first step toward a lifetime of health and wellness. Besides surgery, the WeightWise way includes an emphasis on appropriate levels of physical activity and a change in diet.
While we watch what we eat, we must ensure that we still get the essential nutrients our bodies need to thrive, lose weight, gain muscle, and feel full. Weight management (maintaining an ideal body weight) means finding the right balance of calorie intake, healthy eating habits (no processed foods or fad diets!), and diet and exercise.
As many of our patients know, being overweight and obesity-related problems can lead to many health ailments, including high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes. Avoiding foods leading to weight gain and enjoying healthy foods that lead to weight loss and increased health benefits are the foundation of our post-op programs.
Bariatric bars help our patients eat healthy and appropriate foods. This is because they are made specifically for weight-loss patients. They contain the right proportions of carbs, protein, vitamins, and minerals. However, it is still important to use protein bars in moderation.
